Linux Engineer

DescriptionSAIC is looking for a Linux Engineer to help the design, implementation, and management of a secure multi-region full-service Azure Cloud Infrastructure. We are looking for talented Linux administrators and cloud engineers with hands on experience to join our team and ensure customer success.Job Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL, SUSE, and UBUNTU) in Azure Virtual Machines.

Configure Linux Operating systems in accordance with Department of Interior security technical implementation guides (STIGs)Configure and maintain Multi Availability Zone Linux virtual machine clusters.

Identify, document, and help implement security and operations management monitoring points.

Test different sets of virtual machines and software configuration to achieve maximum stability and hardware efficiency.

Monitor systems performance and ensures compliance with security standards.

Help training and transfer knowledge to other engineers and operations staff.

Analyzes and resolves problems associated with the operating system’s servers, hardware, applications, and software.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networked services.

Configure and maintain LDAP services in Microsoft Active Directory Directory Services

Create, Configure, and maintain dedicated storage for Linux Virtual Machines

Create, Configure, and maintain Shared Storage for Linux Virtual Machines using Azure NetApp

Ability to automate Linux operations and management tasks

Ability create and manage automated Linux OS batch updates and patches

QualificationsRequired:

BS and 5 years of total IT experience

5 years minimum of hands on Linux Administration

5 years Azure cloud computing experience

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOI Public Trust that requires US Citizenship

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
