Maxar is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role you will maintain the current Linux infrastructure. You will also be leading Maxar towards developing new solutions to meet our customer needs both in AWS and on-premise. This role can be based in Longmont, CO, or Westminster, CO.Support the Mission:We are responsible for the management, patching, imaging and software delivery of all Maxar corporate issued end user computing devices using tools such as SCCM, Intune, JAMF and Ansible AWX across multiple domains. The team also is responsible for managing our Linux and Windows VDI Infrastructure with both Horizon and Citrix as well as Amazon Workspaces and EC2 instances. We are looking for someone who is well rounded and can help the team across a wide range of technologies and Operating Systems.Your Career:Maxar has an established customer base with existing infrastructure solutions and expects to continue to adapt to changing customer needs by exploring M&A activities and new technology development. In this role, you will focus on supporting on-premise and AWS Linux and Windows systems and explore hybrid and cloud-based operating models to better serve the needs of our partners. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership and support to a distributed team with infrastructure across the United States
- Configure, deploy and administer Linux- and Windows-based development and production environments
- Develop and implement solutions for projects in physical, virtual, and cloud environments
- Discuss and plan activities related to upgrades, migrations and other maintenance
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24x7 operations
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field. Four years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree
- Ability to be part of once bi-monthly 24x7 on call rotation for after-hours support
- Experience with Linux operating systems, primarily RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu
- Experience with Windows 10 and MacOS operating systems
- Experience with deployment/configuration management tools and related scripting technologies: Ansible, Puppet, Satellite, SCCM
- Previous experience with Agile methodologies
- Previous experience working on a distributed team
- Understanding of cloud methodologies and services, particularly AWS
- Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Experience developing and deploying desktop Operating System images
- Experience with Cloud environments (AWS Workspaces, Azure WvD, Citrix)
- Experience with Remote User diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Patch/Lifecycle management of Linux and Windows Endpoints
- Understanding of hardening systems, working in a STIG/ICD503/CIS environment,
- Understanding of networking methodologies at scale
- CompTIA Security+ certification
