Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security systems, audio/visual systems, and other communication and electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with cabling infrastructure and be familiar with current industry standards and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics)

Install and maintain security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarms

Set up and support audio/visual systems and intercoms

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents

Conduct site surveys and prepare material lists

Maintain compliance with NEC, ANSI/TIA, and local building codes

Troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems

Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and organized

Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or Associate's degree preferred)

2+ years of experience in low voltage or structured cabling work

Familiarity with BICSI, EIA/TIA standards

Proficient in using hand and power tools

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

Preferred Skills:

BICSI certification (Level 1 or 2)

Experience with programming and configuring security systems

Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and splicing

OSHA 10/30 certification

Work Environment:

Job sites include commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, and data centers

Work may include overtime, nights, or weekends depending on project needs
