Job Summary

The Medicare Stars Program Analyst assists with operations activities to drive improvement related to the CMS Star Rating. Leveraging CMS quality program needs, this candidate reviews operations related to improving Star outcomes and strategy, and recommends, monitors, and measures improvements to increase overall ratings. The Medicare Stars Program Analyst oversees and provides insight into operations activities within a functional or multi-functional area of the organization. The Medicare Stars Program Analyst will identify barriers, risks, and drive improvement by working with teams to ensure timely and effective interventions. This position will develop and monitor Star Metrics and work with business owners to ensure quality metrics are achieved. This position will drive continuous improvement through a robust inspection/remediation process to improve the health and well-being of the DHMP Medicare beneficiaries.

Education

1. Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in business or health care related field preferred.

Experience

1. Three years of experience in healthcare and Medicare environment and/or quality driven revenue environment.

2. Project management experience preferred.

1. Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to internal and external customers

2. Excellent strategic planning skills to move projects and the organization forward, setting effective goals, implementing action plans, and evaluating process and results.

3. Embraces and thrives in rapidly changing environment; advanced skills in analytics/problem solving, research, communication, presentations, organization, working independently as well as in teams, managing/completing multiple tasks with tight deadlines

4. Expertise in CMS Star Rating technical specifications and principles, measurement time periods, and calculation methodology.

5. Strong analytical skills

6. Proven ability to make sound decisions relative to enhance quality metrics

7. Demonstrated interpersonal, communications and team building skills

8. Strong project management experience and the ability to operationalize a concept

9. Proven ability to organize work, simultaneously work on many activities and projects and meet deadlines

Computers and Technology

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Certificates, Licenses and Registration

1. PMP Certification Preferred.

Minimum: $69,900.00

Midpoint: $87,400.00

Maximum: $104,900.00
