AECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Ecologist to be based in our Denver or Fort Collins, CO office. The Ecologist II will support our Natural Resources group within our Environmental Planning and Permitting business line. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented environment. This position provides unlimited career growth potential while working with a team comprised of a variety of staff and project managers in support of AECOM’s clients, including natural gas, electric utilities, and renewables. AECOM’s Natural Resources group conducts a variety of projects including impact assessments, environmental field assessments, environmental regulatory permitting, utility siting and licensing, environmental inspection, and many others.

This position is expected to begin April/May 2023.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Assisting on wetland, stream, and wildlife habitat assessments, botanical surveys, and listed species surveys.Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.Assisting with the preparation of technical documents and permit applications.This position will predominantly involve task-based assignments.Position requires field work and candidate must be able to travel. About AECOM’s Environment Business Line
