The AMOD project is currently looking for dynamic and innovative technical talent to support its desire to produce a large suite of applications supporting the warfighter. The position is a Mid-Level Software Engineer where you will be working with analysts (i.e., domain experts) and engineers, shortening the feedback cycle in the software development/improvement environment

The project is enabled by a streamlined development process, the Agile development methodology employed enables the advanced modernization team to develop and deliver mission-essential capabilities that increase analytic efficiency, integration, and quality without exhausting massive amounts of resources. As well as a goal to develop/accredit/maintain new capabilities that enhance the daily workflow of analysts; introduce capabilities to transition the government organization to object-based production, and apply data science methods to non-traditional data sets in order to inform decisions across the government organization.

More About the Role:

As a Mid-Level Software Engineer you will have various responsibilities such as:
  • Identify, collect, and organize end user requirements, forming a backlog and ensuring requested specifications and capabilities are accurately described and in sufficient detail
  • Coordinate with government staff and their customers to validate, prioritize, and track progress of requirements completion
  • Develop, test, and deploy analytic applications, working with end-users to incorporate feedback into the development process
  • Ingest and analyze structured and unstructured data into developed applications
  • Sustain existing software applications
  • Support software release activities, including: perform functional testing, preparing required documentation for accreditation;
  • Compile reports on performance/usage metrics, schedules, and application roadmaps
  • Identify, research, and integrate leading edge technologies and tools as required
  • Participate in technical exchange and senior-level working group meetings

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a TS/SCI with a C.I. poly clearance.
  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work
  • 3 solid years of experience in developing SW applications
  • Agile development methodologies and practices -" Scrum, user stories, backlogs, continuous integration, retrospectives, etc.
  • Coding in .NET, Angular, Java, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Utilizing SQL Server and NiFi experience
  • Front or back end developer
  • Coded in Visual Studio using C# and Razor for a Microsoft MVC 5 Application
  • CSS3, Less, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Angular.js; Kubernetes, Containers
  • Java, Python, scala, node.js, React/Angular, Web Services, Automated Testing, Helm Charts, Open Shift, Grey Matter, Containers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills necessary to function within a team environment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Background in software development, preferably AGILE Methodologies and SCRUM, JIRA and Confluence
  • Experienced with Information Technologies and advanced technology concepts.
  • Experience developing analytic applications for an IC organization

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $59,900-$119,800. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
