Network Administrator

Full Time - Direct Hire

Colorado Springs Area - Hybrid

Our client is looking for an Network Administrator to support their clients in and around the Colorado Springs Area.

You will mainly work from home with occasional visit to the clients site for on-site support.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop and implement scalable & secure policies and procedures for networks and servers
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring and automated problem resolution techniques for client up-time
  • Troubleshoot Tier 3-4 Service Desk requests received through tickets or phone, including end user requests (impacting one user) and infrastructure and application requests (impacting many users)
  • Collaborate with others as needed to ensure tickets are resolved within SLA timeframes
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution/escalation
  • Build and deploy client hardware as needed
  • IT Support may include but is not limited to: Microsoft 365 licensing and administration, cloud antivirus management, WatchGuard Firewall configuration, remote patch management and monitoring, Active Directory management, Ubiquiti Wireless network management, switch configuration, scheduled backups, Apple Mac and Windows support, Server, VM and VMWare management, and core systems software support, Linux OS maintenance, Azure cloud management.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for onsite support capacity

Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree in computer science or computer information systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of Service Desk experience in IT Related field
  • Aptitude for continued learning of new concepts and technology
  • Ability to troubleshoot networking issues, advanced Windows server issues, and advanced application issues
  • Ability to handle customer requests in a calm and professional manner
  • Have CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification or ability to get it within 6 months
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and problem resolution skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities (including Fidelity, Compassion and Drive) and ability to train others
  • Training and additional certifications will be provided as needed
