Responsible for day-to-day testing on several models of routers, including working and coordinating with both onshore and offshore resources while also becoming an expert in the products being tested. Develop and maintain test cases, test plan and execute sanity and regression suites. Responsible for analyzing manual and automated test scenario results. Involve in projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments. Participate in multiple programs/systems as a project team member. Coordinate and collaborate with Design, Architecture, Development, and Operations to ensure optimal customer experience and participate in debugging and triaging of issues as necessary. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status• Works with automated testing frameworks and related infrastructures; scripts specific tests to measure software quality and functionality• Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs• Manages deliverables such as documentation, training, test case management and ensures proper maintenance and tracking of test accounts• Conducts both happy-path and negative tests scenarios while doing exploratory testing• Determine manual test cases that are candidates for automation.• Performs both back-end system and front-end UI triage and troubleshooting when identifying defects• On an ongoing basis, analyze existing test scenarios to ensure accuracy, relevance and necessityDevelop, modify, enhance and implement test plans designed to support new or existing business initiatives• Ensure alignment between business operational strategies and quality assurance of our products• Ensure product quality conforms to documented requirements and / or enhance customer satisfactionIdentify improvement opportunities (process / tools / duplication) and work with cross-functional teams to bring in testing efficiencies.• Responsible for compliance with company engineering standards, policies and procedures• Maintains good relations with peers, team, other organizations and vendors• Be a part of an effective team and contribute to drive a high-performance culture and environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and Knowledge• Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner• Detail-oriented and should be able to identify and tackle technical issues, creating test cases or writing defects• Self-starter, self-motivated, driven individual• Ability to work well with shifting priorities and organize effectively• Understanding of OpenWrt / OpenSync Software stack or functionality is a big PLUS.• Understanding of Linux Kernel• Understanding of 802.11 specifications• Proficient understanding of Networking terminology and components (e.g. DHCP, IP Routing)• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)• Proficient with network analysis tools, such as Wireshark, WiFi Analyzer• Solid understanding of the OSI model• Experience with Defect tracking and Management tools like Jira, Test Rails• Experience with one of automation scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Ruby or similar is MUST.• Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Display professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretion EDUCATIONBA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experienceTesting Certification ISTQB Advanced Level preferred
