- Primary responsibility is the support/administration of NOSQL databases, both on-premises and in the cloud and SQL Postgres.
- Design, deploy, and maintain NOSQL database clusters in the development, QA and production environments
- Maintaining a 99.999% availability rate for the database platform.
- Perform debugging, tuning and performance enhancements as well as automation of operational and continuous integration aspects of NOSQL platforms
- Create performance dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics for both OS and latency spikes
- Work with the network, security, and SRE teams to establish a connection between the on-premises and cloud databases and databases hosted on external AWS environments.
- Participate in agile development processes, analyze user requirements, and develop functional specifications for databases in accordance with database standards.
- Design, deploy, and maintain NOSQL database clusters in the development, QA and production environments
- Build the platform in such a way that it can scale in seconds to accommodate peak loads of up to one million transactions per minute.
- Perform debugging, tuning and performance enhancements as well as automation of operational and continuous integration aspects of NOSQL platforms
- Participate in agile development processes, analyze user requirements, and develop functional specifications for databases in accordance with database standards.
- Providing assistance with the planning and execution of database upgrades and platform migrations
- Strong experience in Helping team migrate data from SQL to NOSQL databases.
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree and 5+ years of experience as DBA on SQL, NOSQL databases
- Strong technical background on Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase and Postgres
- Experience working in production environments requiring 99.99% availability
- Experience maintaining NOSQL clusters in public cloud platforms
- Strong problem solving, testing and network troubleshooting skills
- Solid experience in database tuning, security, backup and recovery
- Proven experience in handling large scale and growing infrastructure across Data Centers and heterogeneous
- Cloud platforms
