This position provides daily enforcement of parking regulations to keep CU Boulder operating properly. The Parking Enforcement Specialists have significant engagement with on-campus events and activities, and provide transportation, parking and commuter support to faculty, staff, students and visitors to the University. Parking Services provides ongoing training and resources for employees to develop skills in de-escalation and conflict resolution.This is a full-time position that is immediately eligible for excellent CU benefits. Our team strives for a work schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Sundays-Wednesdays,12pm to 10:30pm, with three days off in between rotations. We work to provide quality solutions to access the University of Colorado Boulder campus.What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Patrol University grounds for parking infractions and other issues that impede ingress and egress routes. This includes reviewing parking credentials and issuing citations.
Supervise, train, and provide direction to student workers and temporary staff on how to appropriately enforce PS rules and polices.
Setup and maintain equipment for special events, including conveying protocols and personnel assignments as needed. This includes traffic direction, payment collection, or the verification of VIP credentials.
Field questions and comments from campus constituents and guests regarding parking regulations.
Communicate with vehicle owners regarding infractions and suggested remedies. Work with appropriate campus resources to resolve issues beyond their control.
Respond to emergencies as needed. This may include collaboration with University Police to facilitate safety concerns for the campus and public good.

1 year of customer service experience.
Basic computer skills.
Smart phone operational knowledge.
Education may substitute for qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
This position requires a valid Colorado driver's license (no special endorsements needed).
What You Will Need
Solid understanding of computer applications and smartphone technology.
The ability to learn EDC Aims parking software.
Ability to communicate effectively using smartphones, smartphone applications and basic two-way radios.
The ability to engage with the public directly, limiting conflict, and with an ability to de-escalate a situation when necessary.
Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to write reports and communicate with a variety of different audiences.
