Part Time Accrual Based Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is looking for a PART Time Accural based Staff Accountant for a Non Profit client in the DTC. This position is contract through August and is 80% remote, with one day per week in office. MUST BE A LOCAL Colorado candidate. This position is Monday - Friday 8-12/1pm. Tasks will include:-Strong accrual accounting background; prepaids vs expenses and those types of concepts-Accounts Payables, Expense Reporting (using Gorilla / Quickbooks)-Bank Reconciliations - depending on projects and grants funded-General Ledger - Contract assets vs contract liabilities-Knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop-Intermediate Level for Excel - Pivot Tables and VLOOK UPS-Heavy spreadsheet manipulation-Non profit or grant accounting a plus!-Must have Bachelors DegreeIf you are interested in this PART TIME Staff Accountant positIon with Robert Half, please call us today at 720-678-9699Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

Practical knowledge of Expense Reporting

Demonstrated knowledge of Prepaid Expense

Accrual Accounting experience desired

Accruals experience required

QuickBooks experience

Activity Based Costing experience highly preferred

Foundational knowledge in general ledger

General familiarity with Prepaid Expense

Grant accounting experience

Adeptness in Job Cost

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in ERP systems
