Description Location: UCHealth PMC Residency Clinic, US:CO:Pueblo WestDepartment: Adult Medicine ClinicFTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)Shift: Days Pay: $0.01 - $500.00 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceSummary:Provides medical care to patients in area of specialty. Diagnoses and treats medical conditions and provides preventative care. If physician is also a surgeon, performs appropriate surgical care and post-surgical care.Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient care to patients according to scope of service and policies and procedures. Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.

Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to specialty healthcare providers or community resources.

Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care where appropriate.

Participates in appropriate medical staff and/or hospital committees. Maintains acceptable attendance at specified meetings. May provide teaching and instruction to medical students, interns, and residents. May conduct or support clinical or basic scientific research.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program.

Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice. Board certification or eligibility for Board certification by American Board of specialty. Unrestricted medical staff membership at a system hospital, with appropriate practice privileges. If primary practice facility is not a system hospital, then appropriate documentation must be submitted showing privileges at the primary practice facility. Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services office required. Eligible to provide reimbursable Physician services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.

BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
