Coordinate communication between the PI, lab staff and other units in the Department.
Serve as liaison for Dr. Washington's and Dr. Huang's lab and the Office of Grants and Contracts.
Manage calendar for research team meetings across institutions, setting up required zoom calls for all sites.
Oversees research-related travel, including making conference, transportation, and hotel reservations, acting as a delegate to reconcile travel expenses and reimbursements in a timely manner.
Assist with tracking projects' milestones set by funding agencies, and monitoring internal timelines and teams' progress
Support publication development (manuscript/poster/presentation) formatting text, tables, figures, adding identified references to publications.
Communicate in a clear and professional manner with diverse project partners that include researchers, collaborators and organizations
Set up procurement procedures for vendors to be compensated in a timely manner as part of project activities
Coordinate large purchases or payments (e.g. review of Statement of Work, vendor setup, purchasing requisition, invoice payments) working closely with the finance unit of the division on all expenses and reimbursements.
Review and approve all monthly expense and travel reports for assigned personnel; review assigned purchasing to ensure compliance with funding sources and budget availability.

A bachelor's degree in health administration, business, public health, biology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Substitution : A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of research grant management experience.
Proven expertise in managing grants within an academic medical environment.
Experience with data entry and data analysis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills.
