The City of Louisville is looking for a Preparedness & Mitigation Coordinator. This role is critical for the City in planning and implementing strategies to reduce, mitigate and prepare for potential risks and hazards that could affect the community. The main objectives for this position are to coordinate preparedness and mitigation efforts, develop community engagement and preparedness initiatives, and serve as back up to the Recovery and Resilience Manager.

This position performs professional level work with the development and administration of disaster management preparedness and mitigation. This position reports to the Recovery & Resilience Manager position, which coordinates preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery efforts on behalf of the City in collaboration with all departments and external partners. This position is considered a critical and essential worker and is therefore responsible for responding to emergencies and/or disasters that may require additional overtime or adjustments to your normal schedule to fit the needs of the organization.

Hiring Range: $69,700 to $81,910
