Primary Scope of Responsibilities:

The Primary Care Clinic Medical Assistant under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides medical/nursing assistance under the direction of physician or nursing staff in the Primary Care Clinic within their certified capabilities. In addition, functions as receptionist including complete and accurate registering of patients, completion of consent for treatment form, obtaining of insurance information, scanning, and charging responsibilities including collection of payment at time of service as appropriate. Practices exceptional customer service, answers phone, assists in maintaining office supplies, and assists with the daily operations of the clinic. Communicates and coordinates information in a knowledgeable and courteous manner with staff, patients, and families. Maintains confidentiality with patients, staff, and guests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some type of technical training preferred
  • Ability to concentrate and show attention to detail
  • Relatively high degree of analytical abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • BLS required
  • EMT-I preferred

Pay range for new hires: $22.00 - $26.12/hr
