Colorado Aggregate Recycling has a current opening for a Scale House Operator. Colorado Aggregate Recycling accepts concrete and asphalt rubble for recycling into a variety of grades and types of recycled concrete and asphalt materials typically used in construction applications. The main products produced from recycling concrete and asphalt rubble include recycled concrete road base, recycled concrete dry-screened rock, and recycled asphalt pavement. Job Summary:

The Scale House Operator supports the daily operations of the aggregate recycling facility by providing administration & oversight of incoming loads of concrete and asphalt rubble and the fulfillment of customer orders for recycled aggregate products departing the recycling facility. This position performs data entry for customer orders and billing, answers customer questions, coordinates with haulers, supports project estimates, and communicates regularly with yard & plant employees and management personnel.

Duties:

 Collects fees for sales and generates customer account billings

 Provides information and directing customers

 Performs data entry, generates scale tickets, computation, reconciliation, record keeping, and reporting

 Maintains a clean, functional and organized work area / sales office

 Requires heavy customer contact over the telephone

 Must have excellent attendance record and reliable transportation

 Learn and follow all company policies

 Accurately completes and maintains sales reports and billing records

 Expects to work irregular and extended hours and weekends as needed to meet customer project supply requirements

 Support miscellaneous administrative activities for the operation

 Performing additional assignments as requested by the manager

Education:

Minimum of High School and or GED/ Equivalent

Requirements/Qualifications:

 Excellent customer service skills and enjoys interacting with customers

 Must have proficient office skills and experience using windows-based software (MS Office products Excel, Word, Outlook, and some QuickBooks)

 Highly reliable and is generally always available to work from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (and the odd Saturday). This position consistently requires 45 to 50 hours per week.

 Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail

 Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and have reliable transportation to and from work

 Able to stand (35%), walk (10%), sit (50%), climb, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

 Able to lift and or move 25 pounds on a routine basis

 Able to work in a construction environment which may include some minor exposure to airborne particles and moderate to loud noises

 Good communication, problem solving and leadership skills

 Strong basic math skills (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division)

 Able to work in a fast-paced environment, works well with others

 Seasonality of industry may require extended summer work hours; including some weekends

 Motivated self-starter with excellent organizational and people skills

 Ability to work independently and function well in a team environment

Preferred:

 Bilingual in English & Spanish languages

 Previous experience and knowledge of construction industry and/or aggregates

FULL-TIME / PART-TIME Full-Time Hourly (40 Hours Regular plus 5 to 15 hours of overtime per week)

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 1 to 3 years of administration or customer service
