AECOM has a position available for an early career Process Engineer to support our growing Energy Business Line. For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices in multiple locations across the United States. Our team provides a wide range of process engineering services across markets sectors including oil and gas refining, CCUS, industrial processes (petrochemical, food and beverage) and future and renewable fuels (hydrogen, RNG, biogas). We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to develop within and further the technical skills we bring to our new and existing client base.The successful candidate is expected to be a detail orientated, experienced engineer who can make decisions independently under the guidance of senior staff. The focus of the experience must be in the energy or power industry associated with process engineering and design.  Experience with carbon capture and storage is a plus. The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:Perform engineering analyses and design under the direct supervision of experienced and licensed professional engineersProvide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from work scope development until the completion of constructionReview systems from a safety standpointEvaluate and apply applicable design code requirementsTravel to project site and meetings as neededAssist with productions of drawing and documentsDevelop technical specifications, plans, and detailsDevelop process simulationsLevel specific responsibilities:Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple models.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with some supervision.  At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world.
