Job Duties and Responsibilities

High-level job responsibilities:

As a Product Owner, you will be working within the Retail Wireless team in our DISH Grand Central office located in downtown Denver, CO. You will be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment spanning the Retail Wireless team and broader DISH organizations. In this role you will:
  • Ensure that the product's vision is aligned with business goals.
  • Gain buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategies regarding product functionality and process.
  • Be responsible for iteration planning and subsequently working with the development team to identify and break down the tasks required for the iterations while providing clear instructions and deliverables.
  • Manage, organize, communicate and track sprint and project releases.
  • Be responsible for project success: on time, on budget, meeting team members' expectations, and meeting project goals.
  • Consider the organizational impact of decisions made regarding service interface and data modeling

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

  • Performing Scrum Master and PO tasks to facilitate and/or participate in the necessary Scrum ceremonies, possibly including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review, Sprint Demo, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Act as the liaison between engineering teams and product stakeholders
  • Evangelize your product vision and roadmap across to gather feedback and drive better cross-company transparency and alignment
  • Decomposing product and service features into workable user stories
  • Continually prioritizing and grooming product backlogs for cross-functional, full-stack integration teams. Liaison between requests for new functionality and development team.
  • Coordinating cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, and defining best practices
  • Sharing and evangelizing the work completed, product backlog, and Scrum team metrics.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

High-level qualifications:

Technical knowledge of Mobile application development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and working knowledge of enterprise solution architecture principles. Self-starter and ability to figure out a complicated environment.

Specific qualifications:

  • 6+ years of enterprise product ownership experience
  • Technical knowledge of Mobile applications
  • Good understanding of API specifications
  • AWS or other Cloud experiences is a plus
  • Accessibility experience is a plus
  • iOS or Android development experience is a plus

Salary Range

Compensation: $87,500.00/Year - $143,750.00/Year
