Sr. Project Manager Aurora, CO (Hybrid) 12+ Month Contract Overview: This role is for a Senior Project Manager to manage the current projects within the ePMO, IT Infrastructure, and Networking departments. There are currently twelve active projects and eleven projects set to begin within the next six months. 80% of these projects will require a Project Manager. High-Level Proposed Responsibilities: With the technological growth and, more specifically, IT, there is a need for a Senior Project Manager to manage up to ten projects and consult on multiple enhancements. These projects will range from small system changes to a large data center move. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for utilizing the PMI standards to manage projects from inception to project close. Will manage resource allocation and communicate updates to Company, including Senior leadership, through project dashboards and various PMO-established meetings. The Project Manager will have a dotted line reporting structure to the Sr. Infrastructure Manager within IT. Details: Business Problem: With the growth of the Company and new technologies being developed, the organization will have many new projects over the next year. There will be a large data center move to an offsite location, potential projects from a recent Insite collaboration, and an organization-wide reconstruction of active directory. Proposed Responsibilities: The Sr. Project Manager will manage high-level, high-visibility projects by adhering to the established Company ePMO handbook and standards set forth through the Project Management Institute. They will report on these projects to Senior Leadership through Project Dashboards and attend weekly meetings. Below are the remaining Project Management tasks and duties: - The Contractor shall serve as a project manager responsible for project management of key Infrastructure projects within the Company's Information Technology Department as well as additional projects and process development initiatives, as directed by the Company (the "Project Management Work"). The Project Management Work will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks anddeliverables as applicable to each project being managed:
- Develop project charter
- Gather requirements
- Capture/define success criteria
- Conduct design sessions
- Coordinate build and testing process
- Develop project plan and work breakdown structure
- Manage issues list
- Vendor management - with respect to each project being managed, including coordination with vendor project managers and project plan
- Manage risk registry
- Develop a go-live plan
- Follow up with project team members to coordinate timely deliverables and uncover roadblocks
- Weekly project team meetings - daily stand ups
- Periodic executive/steering committee updates - project summary
- Develop post go live support plan
- Ensure documentation is complete
- Develop organizational change management plan
- Develop training plan
- Conduct project closure
- Complies with the Company's Enterprise Program Management Office (ePMO) processes and procedures
Tools: The Contractor will use Smartsheet to manage project plans and Microsoft Office for all documentation, spreadsheets, presentations, etc., unless otherwise directed. Additional tools utilized by the ePMO office include Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, and Meisterplan. The Company can provide access to licensed copies of this software upon request. Strategic Alignment: Strategic alignment for this role will fall under IT Infrastructure and Networking departments. Additionally, there will be projects within the Operations and Tolling Department as an end customer.
