CANDIDATES MUST LIVE NEAR GREENWOOD VILLAGE CO OR OMAHA NE AREAThe Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the design, development execution and reporting of quality plans for the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) suite of products processing trillion dollars in payments annually by ensuring all product changes meet strict quality expectations. The engineer is reasonable for client interaction and working in a culturally diverse team of test analyst and test engineers to validate a product systems readiness for use in business.Additionally, this positionFunctional: Manages several projects simultaneously. Understands and communicates the scope of testing required to meet the needs of the project or desired business capabilities. Reviews and approves test plans. Assists with managing post-design scope changes and resolving issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Builds a knowledge base or proficiency framework on the test team(s) and applications and acquire subject matter expertise on the overall line of business pertaining to the test team(s). Analyzes and prioritizes defects based upon business and programming specifications.Technical: Performs testing activities to include: planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging and reporting tasks. Leads, develops, monitors, and executes test activities for large sized projects. Provides guidance to team members on the scripting and execution activities to accomplish the test plan and design requirements. Researches new tools and testing approaches, and executes upon/monitoring the implementation of such items. Post test execution activities include error debugging, reporting needs and internal and external communications.Provide technical investigation, updates and progress to project team and management. Automate tests for new features using existing automation framework. Assist with the execution of testing for all system components, including functional and integration testing. Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases, document test cases and generate reports; accountable for all software quality related metrics. Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology. Ability to work within an agile methodology on scrum team to coordinate testing; participate in dialog with developers in discussing current and proposed architecture, defects enhancements and other issues. Define test objectives, write and execute test cases and test scenarios to ensure that software products meet design specifications and quality measurements, update and modify existing test procedures as necessary.Works with multiple programs/systems on projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple development environments. Demonstrate high productivity and the ability to effectively multi-task across different initiatives. Provides technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to less experienced individuals. Oversees training of team members.Works independently with senior management and technical groups globally. Utilization of business, functional and/or technical expertise to effectively develop and execute the test strategy and planning activities.Basic Qualifications for Consideration:4+years of related technical experience.Subject Matter Expert demonstrating technical experience in one or more mainframe and/or distributed application technologies, web application technologies, databases, principles of quality, test automation, and performance testing activities.Preferred Skills, Experience, and EducationKnowledge of Banking Industry: Payments, Tax Payments, ACH, NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association)Strong communication skills both verbal and written communicating with internal and external client leadershipKnowledge of user interface testing and ADA compliance testingKnowledge of automation tools: TOSCA, SeleniumKnowledge of project management and waterfall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processesKnowledge of the key processes in the business and the business rules that impact the development and/or implementation of information systems.Knowledge of Corporate Applications & tools: Jira, SharePoint, WorkdayKnowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPointTravel required: Limited Travel - ? 5%
