Job Title: Range Operations and Integration Division Support SME Level 4-3733

Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Job Summary The contractor shall provide technical system integration and systems engineering support across the Air, Space and Cyberspace Domains. Guide the establishment of partnerships/ relationships at all levels of leadership within each organization. Interact with USSF Field Command, HQ USSF, SAF, Mission Partners and Range customers across the DOD and other National Range customers. Range Experience with test, analysis, and/or experimentation of space systems or military systems including space operations or test control room experience. The essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading recurring meetings to establish cross architecture level trade studies and developing common interoperable architectures across the National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC) Integrated Program Office (IPO) Lines of Effort (LOE)
  • Engage in general systems engineering and integration efforts across the NSTTC IPO
  • Recommends, develops, and integrates enterprise concepts and recommendations to capitalize on cross range best practices, efficiencies and standardization
  • Provide feasibility Studies and Concept Exploration
  • Design Reference Mission Engineering
  • CONOPs development
  • Requirements development
  • Interface Control Document development
  • Verification Plan Development
  • System Validation Activities
  • Operations Support
  • Change Management, and Analysis Support
  • In addition, the Integrator will assess, align, and integrate programmatic across the NSTTC LOEs, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB&E), and technical efforts within the NSTTC IPO
  • Awareness of logistics goals, objectives, services, and programs, as well as the individual needs in order to meet mission requirements
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical and team facilitation skills
  • Ability to interact with senior department of defense and other government officials as well as defense contractors at all levels
  • Be responsive to a wide variety of issues, take into account inter relationships between subject areas and customer requirements

    Education / Certifications
  • Master's Degree, relevant work experience and training combination may be considered in lieu of a degree

    Skills / Experience Required
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant DoD work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and interface easily with team members and senior leadership
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership to help ensure mission success
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner

  • Strong self-starter requiring no supervision
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

    Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

    Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
