hospital in Aurora, CO. The Medical Center of Aurora is comprised of six campus
in Aurora and Centennial, CO, including the Main Campus, North Campus
(Behavioral Health and Wellness Center), Centennial Medical Plaza, Saddle Rock
ER, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL and a
medical office building at Green Valley Ranch. The main campus is a level II
trauma Facility with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Certification
accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor.

Position Summary: The Student Nurse Tech
assists in the provision of individualized nursing care based on thedevelopmental needs of the
patient under the direction of a registered nurse and in accordance with the
standards of nursing care and practice. The Student Nurse Tech is responsible
for obtaining and charting of vital signs HR, BP, temp, RR, assisting with
ADL’s, and measuring of I’s and O’s.

Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS-Healthcare
provider from the American Heart Association required.
Education: Must be
currently enrolled in an approved school of nursing; successful completion of
at least one full semester of clinical nursing that includes nursing
fundamentals
Experience: Must
have experience in basic nursing fundamentals including checking vital signs
and charting. Proof of competencies required from school of nursing.
Special Qualifications:
Ability
to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health
care team members. Ability to manage a
team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
