Regulatory Specialist The Regulatory Specialist reports to Research and Development. This role supports the development of food products by applying regulatory guidance to meet USDA and customer requirements. This role is an expert in reviewing and updating labeling designs ensuring accuracy to the product and federal regulations.Position is located at Pilgrim’s Corporate Headquarters in Greeley, COResponsibilities:
Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Nutrition, Quality Assurance, Product Developers, Insights, and Innovations to help the company be productive in the marketplace.
Works with external parties and vendors including label suppliers, label printers, USDA consultants, ingredient suppliers, and co-manufactures as needed.
Manages multiple projects at once and prioritizes with assistance from manager.
Monitors changes to USDA labeling regulations and provides direction on how changes impact products and claims.
Functions as the professional USDA regulatory labeling resource for the company.
Timely researches and interprets regulations to compile accurate answers for internal and external requests.
Reviews product packaging, artwork, labels, and documentation for adherence to federal regulations and company standards ensuring quality and consistency
Prepares documentation required by governmental and certification agencies.
Develops labeling procedures and tools and conducts training sessions for stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
2+ years related professional experience.
Excellent organization and project management skills with the ability to multitask.
Highly attentive to detail, self-motivated.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage cross-functional and external collaborations and projects.
Knowledge of USDA food labeling regulations and ability to interpret federal regulations, preferred.
Experience in food labeling and Nutritional Facts Panels, preferred.
SAP Experience, preferred.
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $46,342-$58,800;
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
