Job Description:PI Planning Event – A cadence based, face-to-face event that serves to align all the teams on the ART to a shared mission and vision. IKC’s PI Event is a 2 day event.Program Increment (PI) – A time boxed planning interval during which an Agile Release Train plans and delivers incremental value in the form of working, tested software and systems. IKC utilizes a 12 week PI.Standard Duties·Establish and communicate the annual calendars for iterations and PI’s.·Coach leaders, teams and scrum masters in standard practices for consistency across all teams.oStandards in Jira for Features, Epics and Stories to ensure consistent data and metricsoEnsure SAFe Process expectations are followed and adhered tooProviding assistance to Product Owners in documenting information in Jira and help if they don’t understand how to break out their stories to meet the SAFe standards we have in place.·Manage RTE dashboards, objectives and metrics in TargetProcess tool·Ensure PI Confluence pages are kept up to date.·Track the Risks during the PI to ensure they are follow through on the plan from PI Planning (Co-owned with Program/Portfolio Manager)·Program level metrics (co-owned with Program/Portfolio Manager)o Track Epic/Objective metricso Report out metrics on specified cadenceo Tracking objective progress and risks throughout PI· Sprint metricso Communicate sprint metrics to leadership and CoreIT at the close of each sprinto Provide commentary and identify opportunities for improvement·System Demo Facilitation·Scrum of Scrums facilitation and owner·Jira MaintenanceoApprover of all new requests, submits new projects and ensures project consistency across projects·Remove obstacles/resolve problems and/or impediments for teams (co-owned with Program/Portfolio Manager)·Help manage risks and dependencies across the multiple teams throughout the PI co-owned with Program/Portfolio Manager)·Track’s progress towards expected goals (co-owned with Program/Portfolio Manager)·Helps ensure value delivery. Manages and optimizes the flow of value using tools, information radiators etc.·Leads, prepares and drives improvement through PI Inspect and Adapt Workshop·Monitor Portfolio Board and communicate questions, changes with owners of the Epics.·Champion maturity of SAFe framework PI Planning EventA. PI Planning Event·Overall responsible for PI Planning readiness·Collect and create the slide presentation for the event which includes Product team Northstars and leader presentations ·Prepare agenda and micro-agenda on Confluence.·Line up the speakers and presentations for the event.·Organize MVP awards presentations and put those in the agenda.· Summarizes Team PI objectives into Program PI objectives and publishes for visibility and transparency· Organize and facilitate remote event utilizing online TargetProcess tool·Emcee’s PI event – Presents the planning process and expected outcomes for the event·Lead the Day 2 readout·Setup PI App Event – Targetprocess software·Confirm Webex/Chats for each team are assigned and in place and communicated (and on Confluence page)·Create and update PI Planning Page in Confluence – page is updated to reflect the current agenda, current team pages etc·Plan, setup and run the I & A for previous PI ·Helps manage the PI planning timeline so that group readouts occur per the agenda·Take notes at the Day 1 executive readout and compile for Executive readout;·Lend general assistance to the RTE during the event as needed.·Runs the Scrum of Scrums during PI Planning during live PI events to monitor Confluence team pages and notify Lead RTE.·Collect and prepare Executive readout presentation·Facilitates the Management Review and Problem Solving session during PI Planning·Assist with documentation including risks, dependencies etc. Project Governance Process·Project Readiness – Initial review and inspection in preparation for PGM Cadence meetings, PI Event and team consumption§Coordination with project managers for next steps, concerns, or gaps identifiedoDefinition of Done – Evaluation & follow up with the teams on their objectives as they are working to the Definition of Done.·Finalize scope with Leadership Release Manager· Release coordination with 3rd party vendor· Production Exemption Client Authorization (PECA) approval permissions with 3rd party vendor· IT Cross team coordination, release management and dependency tracking· Coordinate the program scheduling, planning and controlling of the release management lifecycle and delivery process between teams· Plan the release of program deliverables and release life cycle. Schedule, coordinate between teams and deployment of release per the schedule· Define the strategic usage of release management tools· Identify risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected· Schedule the release readiness reviews/Go/No Go before deployment.· Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule· Communicate with release managers from different IT departments· Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists and dependencies
