The Retail Sales Associate’s responsibility is to make a life-long customer, not just a sale. Providing product knowledge to the customer allowing them to make a series of buying decisions which are mutually beneficial to the customer, and the store. Selling responsibilities include keeping merchandise folded and stocked neatly, while maintaining a clean work environment. Essential Job FunctionsKnowledge and selling merchandise carried in the stores, and services provided by the Aspen Skiing CompanyAcquire and retain detailed Rental and Retail product knowledge to best serve guests and to help achieve departmental sales goalsControlling and helping in loss and theft preventionResponsible for booking lessons, powder tours, First Tracks, and other ski related activitiesAssist in coffee bar as needed, making drinks and working in a food and beverage capacityAssisting Adventure Concierge with lift, lesson and rental salesMaintaining a clean work environment through folding merchandise on the retail floor and stockrooms. Cleaning dressing rooms of hangers, tags, and properly putting away merchandise after each use of the dressing roomKeep guest refreshment area replenished, clean and restocked for the next dayProvide guest with refreshmentsHelp with opening and closing cleaning dutiesOrganize merchandise and accept delivery of productEnthusiasm and knowledge of the Aspen skiing and snowboarding lifestyleOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
