Description Robert Half has partnered with a fast growing publicly traded upstream oil & gas company in search of a Revenue Accounting Manager. This role is a growth position seeking a high potential oil & gas professional. Duties Include: Oversee and manage all aspects of revenue accounting for the upstream oil & gas operations.Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Supervisory Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of revenue accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Provide guidance and support for ongoing professional development, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet evolving challenges.Financial Reporting:Drive accurate and timely preparation of revenue-related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insightful analysis and contribute to financial decision-making processes.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and internal policies.Identify and mitigate potential risks related to revenue recognition through proactive analysis and continuous improvement.Process Optimization:Evaluate existing revenue accounting processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and implementing best practices.Streamline workflows to accommodate the company's rapid growth and evolving business landscape.Communication and Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to enhance cross-functional communication and alignment.Act as a key liaison between the revenue accounting team and external auditors.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.7+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas accounting.Recent supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills.In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles within the energy industry.Experience with a mid to large ERP systemBenefits:Fully paid health benefits package.Paid parking in downtown Denver.Exceptional leadership and mentorship opportunities.Competitive bonus structure (short term and long term incentives including stock options).Opportunities for professional growth in a rapidly expanding company.Company Growth:Join a company experiencing exponential growth.Anticipated plans to add 200+ employees in the next 12-18 months, providing significant career advancement opportunities.Please contact Chuck Bustos with Robert Half at 303-931-4005 for more information and / or apply here for immediate consideration!
