The Revenue Cycle Management Trainer is responsible for providing support and education to all revenue cycle positions within the organization.The RCM Trainer will observe company policies and all applicable laws and regulations regarding the billing and collection of medical claims. This position will also be responsible for updating and managing payer summaries, education material, and policies and procedures. They must have the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multi-task. The RCM Trainer in concert with the Revenue Cycle Corporate Training Manager will consistently assess day-to-day operations to standardize, eliminate and automate processes to promote efficiency. Work Location: REMOTE MON - FRI Hours can flex based on the training schedule - may be as early as 7:30AM Mountain Time. Key Responsibilities Include:

Developing training materials and programs

Training of Billing and Collections Specialists

Auditing claims and documentation

Hosting additional special training sessions as needed

Providing ongoing support to all RCM departments

Responsibilities

Ensures that all day-to-day operations work towards company goals for cash collections and A/R over 90 days

Provides training support for reimbursement positions that utilize CPR+ for revenue cycle management

Develops training materials and webinars for new employees and future software updates

Assists with development and implementation of the reimbursement department training program to include ongoing competency testing

Assists with the development and improvement of policies and procedures

Provides training for newly acquired reimbursement offices to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted cash flow

Audits Billing and Collections staff

Provides billing coverages, as needed

Understands and adheres to state and federal regulations, and to company policies regarding compliance, integrity, patient privacy and ethical billing and collection practices

Updates training materials with regards to changes in state and federal requirements as well as updated processes for Amerita

Considers company budget goals in assessing expenditures for reimbursement training; fiscally prudent

Understands and adheres to HIPAA, to Amerita, PharMerica, and BrightSpring guidelines, and to compliant billing practices

Communicates consistently and professionally with other Amerita employees, departments, and management team as needed

Performs other tasks or special projects as defined by the Training Manager, or Sr. Director of Revenue Cycle

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent, required

Associates Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience, preferred

A minimum of three (3) years of training experience in a healthcare setting

A minimum of five (5) years of home infusion experience

Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid

Advanced knowledge of automated billing systems, experience with CPR+ preferred

Working knowledge and application of metric measurements, basic accounting practices, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding

Solid Microsoft Office skills required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with 10-key calculator

Ability to independently obtain and interpret information

Strong verbal and written communication skills
