JOB OVERVIEW:

Follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs. Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents. Reviews functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback. Collaborates with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency. Participates in architecture, design and code reviews, Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capable of debating and mentoring in networking concepts/python coding across the team
  • Capable of challenging and deriving solutions to automate router and networking e2e functionalities
  • Candidate should be proactive and capable of taking the right decisions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum three years' experience in Python programming
o Experience with the following Python libraries:

  • Flask, paramiko, JSON, scapy
  • Minimum two years' experience in Linux
o Linux Commands

  • Minimum two years' experience in CI/CD and code review process
  • Minimum two years' experience in Networking
o VLAN,NAT, Port forwarding, DHCPv4&v6/IPV4 &V6/Upnp

  • Experience in Version control and workflow tooling
o GIT

o GitLab

o GitHub

  • Experience with CI technologies
o Jenkins

o Jitlab CI

  • Experience in Ansible
  • Experience in CI/CD and code review process

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in Chef or Puppet for automation and configuration
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker
  • Experience in Kubernetes and platform distributions such as Rancher, OpenShift, PKS
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with image repositories such as Artifactory
  • Familiarity with logging in, monitoring, and alerting tools
o Splunk

o Datadog

o Prometheus/Grafana

Soft Skills/Characteristics:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to capture and articulate technical and non-technical details, as well as elaborate process flows
  • A strong, team-oriented spirit, a mindset focused on learning and achieving objectives, and the discipline to work rigorously while unmonitored
  • Ability to present analysis and findings to a large group
  • Strong troubleshooting skills - having ability to spot issues before they become problems
  • Offer technical support where needed
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban/Safe, etc.
