Please apply for further information.Term: Full Time$: Open Around 180Location: Englewood CO, On/off termVertical: Wirless The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the technical relationship between internal customers and technology teams and will make recommendations on design, security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency. The background for this position will require Subject Matter Expertise in numerous technical areas as listed in the experience section. In addition, the SA will be leading multiple teams to drive out the optimum solutions. They work closely with the Executive team to set the direction and establish the approach for operations, improve the IT infrastructure, and to optimize business operations. They will make sure these items are designed and implemented in accordance with the overall enterprise architecture and strategy. They will work to understand the business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. The Solutions Architect will lead activities such as architecture and design reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos and technical workshops. They also will lead the effort to bridge the infrastructure and security project requirements with the Applications teams. The Solutions Architect will support and maintain domain architectures such as: enterprise, governance, business, information, application and technical architecture designs. They will use architecture and design as a bridge between vision and strategy, policy and development, and to communicate on the architectures and their implications to clients and other stakeholders. They will provide architecture advice on strategic, tactical and operational levels to different stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The Solutions Architect will analyze the selected solutions regarding information components and will assess and ensure compliance with the architectural and security guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing the technology environment
  • Defining and documenting adherence to the enterprise strategy
  • Analyzing all levels of requirements

  • Controlling solution development
  • Conducting design and architecture reviews with relevant stakeholders to identify / manage gaps and mapping them to the technical requirements.
  • Participating in technical reviews with team members/ stakeholders for issues, tracking and closure
  • Providing support and guidance on the individual projects to Project Managers and facilitate seamless integration of various pieces in the overall Program
  • Creating and supporting the definition of standards, adherence patterns, and best practices
  • Providing solution advice and guidance and validating solution design and approach
  • Overall overview of solution deployment
  • Adherence to Corporate technology policy
  • Creating and supporting the Governance and compliance of designs
  • Integration of enterprise security practices and guidelines

Desired Experience:
  • 10+ years in IT and with BSS/OSS systems and applications
  • Background in the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps, Security and compliance guidelines
  • Strong experience with Intake, Problem Management, and Service Availability Management
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex emergent situations clearly and plainly
  • Knowledge/experience with configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt)
  • Knowledge/experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge/experience with CI/CD tools and concepts.
  • Ability to establish rapport, credibility, and influence in a highly cross-functional, matrixed organization

  • Highly collaborative with a strong work ethic

  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Strongly Preferred:

  • Solid understanding of cloud product offerings and ecosystem of cloud technologies
  • Outstanding presentation & communication skills: must be able to present ideas and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Ability to lead and conduct technical evaluations and design sessions.
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Self-motivation with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills
