Job Duties and Responsibilities: Join our team of highly technical professionals implementing the latest in technologies, ranging from cloud hybrid data center next generation core switching and routing thru private data center interconnects thru wide-area networks to user wired and wireless access. Work on our network of over 2500 network devices and have an opportunity to make a difference.

This position will provide top tier engineering and troubleshooting for the DISH corporate data network devices and services. Must be a detail oriented and highly organized individual. Best practice network engineering and strategic vision in the design, planning and implementation of technical products and network services. Strong Cisco background necessary, and familiarity with cloud-hybrid data center architecture a plus. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area, as well as CCIE certification (Route-Switch or Data Center) or 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Zscaler Proxy and Network Administration:

Primary responsibility is architecting, administering, troubleshooting and supporting Zscaler Internet Access & Zscaler Private Access
  • Will perform day to day tasks for moves, adds, changes, and updating proxy rule sets
  • Be primary resource for troubleshooting including engaging with end users and providing leadership on outage bridges
  • Monitor Zscaler platform services and processes
  • Document setup and maintain as built drawings as changes are made
  • Supporting Zscaler products like ZCC, ZDX, DLP, VZEN, Private Edge
  • Maintain GRE tunnels to Zscaler clouds
  • Thorough understanding of App profiles, Forwarding profiles, .pac files
  • Thorough understanding of how to connect applications to ZPA Connectors both on prem and in the AWS cloud, including how to generate/obtain the necessary certificates for apps both on prem and in the AWS cloud
  • Thorough understanding of Cloud Application, URL Filtering, Firewall, SSL Bypass, VPN Gateway Bypass, Authentication Bypass, Custom URL Categories (both that Retain Parent CAtegory and that don't)
  • Thorough understanding of client upgrade methodology, troubleshooting methodology
  • Familiarity with these technologies is a highly relevant plus: Cisco ASA firewalls including AnyConnect VPN, Palo Alto firewalls, networking for F5 LTM/GTM, SSL keys, AWS key management, AWS security groups, AWS IAM roles

Project Implementation:
  • Provide advanced technical leadership for complex project work
  • Supply advanced technical direction and leadership to the junior members of the data networking team
  • Work with various teams to gather requirements, create specifications, and design solution for projects
  • Provide hands-on implementation and ongoing care and maintenance
  • Develop implementations in lab environment to prove out design specifications according to a test and validation plan
  • Maintaining daily operational responsibility for reliability of the DISH enterprise network and proxies
  • Monitors ongoing availability of network services and processes via tools such as Solarwinds Orion and Cisco Prime Infrastructure applications

Operations:
  • Follow necessary processes to ensure enterprise network systems and services meet an operational uptime of 99.95%
  • Conducts advanced enterprise-level performance tuning as well as network performance audits on a regular basis
  • Maintaining daily operational responsibility for reliability of the DISH corporate network
  • Conducts advanced enterprise-level performance tuning as well as network performance audits on a regular basis
  • Monitors ongoing availability of network services and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge on Cisco routers, firewall, and switches (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS)
  • Validate that customer network configurations are functioning per designs by validating log flows, event threshold settings, and alarm notification settings

Skills, Experience and Requirements:

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical degree; six to eight years as a data network specialist in a medium to large enterprise network; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of Zscaler network proxies
  • Advanced knowledge of network monitoring and performance tools such as SolarWinds Orion NPM, Wireshark, etc.
  • Strategic thinker, strong interest and aptitude in collaborative big picture, enterprise-wide network infrastructure roadmaps.
