The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services. Senior IT Project Manager - Product Lifecycle Management The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Senior ITS Project Manager will be part of the matrixed PLM implementation team and responsible for managing the ITS portion of the PLM implementation. Fusion, the PLM project, and application is built on Dassault Systmes 3DExperience platform and configured for Ball Aerospace. This platform is the next generation product lifecycle management foundation that will provide an authoritative source of truth to meet current and future market demands. This platform will lay the foundation for future digital capabilities and will grow as the team integrates additional applications and capabilities into the platform. Overall, it will improve program execution, increase efficiency, reduce risk, improve searchability and bring new capabilities to Ball Aerospace. This position will play a support role in creating a cohesive portfolio of projects to support ITS and larger organizational strategies, as well as communicating and executing upon the overall strategy for the organization. During project execution the Project Manager is accountable for the success of all projects under their supervision in a matrixed organization. Plan, execute, and deliver all projects on time, on budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. What You'll Do:- Work collaboratively with the PLM team, ITS leadership, Business Units, and Stakeholders to deliver a multi-year PLM implementation driving business value.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the PLM team for developing a strategic roadmap, implementation plans, communications planning, training and support, and overall organization change management for tool acceptance.
- Collaborate with customer and departmental leadership to prioritize and appropriately resource projects adhering to roadmaps and organizational priorities. Maintain resource/staffing plans that are time phased.
- Provide project execution leadership and management for technical solutions (development, infrastructure, and interface activities) while adhering to determined project methodology and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in the development of technical specifications, designs, infrastructure, and analysis documentation to support the PLM implementation and other projects.
- Provide project status updates including project status, project portfolio alignment, project execution performance, business sponsor success criteria and communicating project status to various organizational levels such as project team, Executives, Senior Leadership, Steering Committee and Board of Directors.
- Build, maintain and execute to a stakeholder matrix including IT and internal organization, value stream, and program leadership.
- Identify, track, assess and manage all project risks and opportunities. Maintain a current risk register and provide risk reporting as required.
- Managing overall project schedule and reporting on schedule status. Collaborate with Project Scheduler to maintain the integrated master schedule to enable earned value reporting metrics such as schedule performance index (SPI) and other schedule reporting requirements.
- Managing overall project budget and reporting on cost status and expenses. Collaborate with Project Controls to complete earned value reporting including reporting on metrics such as cost performance index (CPI) and other cost reporting such as total cost of ownership, unrecorded liabilities, open commitments and capital and operational expense reporting.
- Coordinate and lead vendor management for consulting services and licensing/maintenance for the PLM team. Partner with internal groups such as Integrated Supply Chain and Legal to execute statements of work (SOWs), RACI matrices, non-disclosure agreements, purchase requisitions/purchase orders, and other contractual documentation such as master license/services agreements. Review, reconcile and approve invoices for services and license renewals.
- Support the execution of the ITS and organization strategy, utilizing change management strategies (drive enterprise alignment).
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Related Bachelor's and 8 or more years of related experience; or HS Diploma and 14 or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate's, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of experience.
- Related certifications may count towards years of related experience.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Proven success with, and strong understanding of effective Organizational Change Management techniques/strategies.
- Significant experience managing multi-year, large scale, enterprise software system deployment in a matrix environment.
- PLM implementation experience a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership/coordination of large cross-functional teams to include ITS, Business Stakeholders, Business Process SME's, Software Vendor SME's, Systems Integrators, and other resources
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate IT project portfolio and lead multiple projects simultaneously including but not limited to infrastructure build and maintenance, application development and deployment, and network optimization.
- Ability to work in dynamic high tempo environment and directly interface with customer.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to determine an appropriate level of detail given project milestones.
- Excellent planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent computer knowledge and must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and able to work independently as needed.
- Superb team leadership skills.
- Comfortable with, and able to provide structure to, ambiguous and fluid situations.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is also able to work well in teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and ITIL concepts.
- Ability to scope, manage, execute, and deliver on multiple small to large, complex projects in a timely manner.
- PMP preferred, will consider CSM.

- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $111,000 - $154,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
