Job Description

Seeking Senior Process Engineer with expertise in Mining and Minerals!

Provide process development and engineering design expertise for mineral processing projects. Use advance knowledge and specialized training in the performance of thermodynamic, chemical, physical and hydrometallurgical analysis to develop systems and unit operations in accordance with contractual obligations and relevant codes and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of operating experience in at least two different types of operating plants in the mining industry, e.g. base metals flotation concentrator and precious metals recovery operation or copper solvent extraction/electrowinning hydrometallurgical plant. The experience must include direct experience with the engineers and supervisors responsible for areas of the mine other than processing such as mine planning, mine operations or maintenance. o The requirements of different types of projects such as metallurgical studies; scoping, prefeasibility, and feasibility studies; basic engineering; detail engineering; plant commissioning; and plant operations and optimization. Registration as a professional engineer, designation as a Qualified Professional by the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America (MMSA), or other qualifications needed to act as a Qualified Person (QP) for Canadian National Instrument (NI) 43- 101 technical reports. Advanced degrees in a related discipline, e.g. M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering and/or an M.B.A are preferred. Ability to interface with clients in a professional, credible fashion.
