Job Description
SEAKR is looking for an accomplished Program Manager who has a passion for leading engineering design teams through all phases of the development lifecycle. Lead a matrix team comprised of all engineering disciplines through the design, development, test and delivery of state-of-the-art spacecraft onboard processing subsystems, digital RF communication subsystems, embedded systems, embedded application software or complete processing and RF payloads. The ideal PM is not only well practiced in program management, leadership, scheduling, cost control and risk and opportunity management, but also has some past direct engineering experience in an applicable technical discipline. The PM is fully empowered to deliver the best possible product to our customers, on time and on budget. With that empowerment comes accountability, and a successful PM at SEAKR must be innovative and tireless towards accomplishing that high standard.
Qualifications
Key characteristics of a successful PM candidate are multi-dimensional skills such as working well with people, ability to self-teach, ability to lead and adjudicate technical decision-making, and the drive to dive-in and help at any level or function when challenges arise. Demonstrated ability to apply suite of leadership, interpersonal and team organizational skills to effectively manage projects with 15 or more core team members. Demonstrated ability to manage programs larger than $10M. Ideal candidate will have experience with both Cost and Fixed Price type contracts. In addition, experience developing proposal responses or participating in proposal reviews is desirable.
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or other related discipline is required. 8+ years of experience are desired. Graduate degree is desired but not required. PMI Certification is desired but not required.
Additional Information
Compensation: Base salary range is $115,000- $180,000, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
