Job DetailsResponsibilities- Enhance and maintain our data access layer (services) that sits between our application services and our OLAP and OLTP datastores.
- Enhance and maintain our framework support services
- Design, build, and unit-test object-oriented, scalable, and maintainable services on top of the Hadoop ecosystem and RDBMS and data warehouses
- Actively monitor, optimize, tune, and configure the service performance
Requirements- BS/MS in Computer Science or related discipline
- Significant development experiences for microservices in Java
- At least 5-7+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and related technologies with solid understanding of design principles
- Experience with Kafka, YARN, and/or Spark Strongly Preferred
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Strong ability to mentor/coach junior team members as well as experience in influencing senior leadership
- Familiarity with most of the following: RDBMS, RESTful API, Hibernate, HBase, Phoenix, Hive, and Presto
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Enjoy troubleshooting production issues related to big-data platforms
