Job Duties and Responsibilities: The DISH Wireless OSS team is seeking a Senior SIM and Device Operations Engineer, who will be responsible for overall implementation, management and execution of the systems and tools for our 5G Device and SIM Management platforms. The successful incumbent will administer critical elements that define the key configurations for device provisioning and fleet management activities, as well as manage and maintain software configurations in development, test, UAT and production environments. Primary duties and responsibilities:- Onboard and train new users on systems and tools such as Nokia IMPACT, Thales SIM-OTA, G+D RSP (Consumer and M2M) as well as internally developed platforms and APIs;
- Triage and troubleshoot complex issues in multiple software environments such as AWS, Unix/Linux and VMWare;
- Work directly with internal customers to understand their needs and assist them in user acceptance testing;
- Monitor performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators for critical department metrics;
- Implement and utilize production and lab alerting and monitoring solutions using Python, Elastic (ELK), Grafana, Prometheus and/or VictorOps;
- Draft workflows, requirements and technical specification documents for application software.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, telecommunications or a related field;
- Minimum of four years experience in a software engineering position or discipline;
- Experience working with one or more of the following NOKIA IMPACT, NOKIA ADD, NOKIA Entitlements, Thales SIM-OTA, G+D RSP or similar device and sim management tools;
- Experience utilizing coding languages such as Python, Java or C and working within a cloud environment utilizing technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure or VMware;
- Ability to troubleshoot systems, identify bugs, relate to development, and test fixes;
- Proven ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes, software and development ideas;
- Experience in wireless network rollout, integration, operations and maintenance is a plus.
