Maxar is looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer with interest/experience in user interface development to join our Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Services development team in Westminster, CO. We are looking for someone energetic and talented to further our mission of delivering high quality software pipelines and related tooling to support the software deployment needs of our agile organization. Remote candidates will be considered.

Your Project: The CI/CD Services team creates and manages the suite of deployment services and infrastructure that enable hundreds of Maxar developers to quickly and securely build, test, and release software changes into our various AWS environments. This software pipeline and adjacent services are critical to the overall velocity of the organization and allows our teams to introduce business value rapidly without sacrificing quality or security.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

• Support the operational needs of the users of Maxar's CI/CD Services

• Provide Tier-2 level support of the software you and your team own.

• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation

• Implement requested features/changes for the pipeline and related applications

Minimum requirements for this position:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Minimum of 2 years related work experience

• Proficiency in Java programming language, or similar language (Groovy, Scala)

• Prior experience working in an agile development team

Preferred qualifications:

• Willingness to obtain a Secret or higher US Government security clearance

• Experience with front-end development in technologies like Angular, React, TypeScript, etc. (or at least a strong desire and interest to work on developing user interfaces)

• General understanding of key AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, lambda)

• Familiarity with Java Spring framework

• Proficiency in Groovy or Python

• Any AWS certification

• Prior experience with Kubernetes

• Prior experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins

• Prior experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, especially Terraform

• Agile software development lifecycle experience

• Intellectually curious, problem solver, never stops learning

• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

• Self-starter with the ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities

• Ability to apply critical thought to problems and come up with solutions that meet Maxar requirements

The compensation range for this position is $77,000 - $129,000 annually.
