Working with cross-functional teams, this role requires agile testing knowledge, technical and programming skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering high quality software solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business.Working with business areas and key stakeholders across all levels will be a key part of your role.Other key responsibilities:- Develop, maintain and execute test automation scripts
- Knowledge and Experience working in an agile environment
- Work closely with scrum team to refine user story requirements and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with development team to learn the application architecture
- Provide regular contributions to team knowledge base, product wikis and support documentation
- Development metrics defined, measured, trending up
- 3+ years total experience in prior Quality Engineering with at least 3 years of REST/HTTP Web API's in a client/server environment
- Experience working with an existing test automation framework and can contribute towards the improvement of the test framework
- Experience working with a code repository such as GIT
- Apply their knowledge of standards, policies, best practices and organizational structure to work both independently and collaboratively within the team and with key stakeholders
- Provide informal guidance and share knowledge with colleagues to enable them to contribute to the team's objective
- Has an awareness of, researches and adopts effective technologies that improve the bottom line
- Works well with tech resources
- Knowledge of Financial Services (Mortgage or Banking Services) industries and markets is highly regarded
- Previous experience working in and supporting global business units with hybrid custom-built and 3rd party solutions
- Previous experience working on large system implementation projects
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, or equivalent field, from four-year college or university; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good Knowledge and experience in industry standard software testing techniques & tools including best practices of testing in an agile environment
- Knowledge and experience of web application architecture (browsers, document object model - DOM, web services, relational database)
- Good scripting/coding knowledge and/or experience in C#, javascript and SQL
- Has a strong work ethic and is able to deal with sometimes conflicting priorities
- Curious and continuous learner - investigates, interprets and grasps new concepts
- Self-motivated and can use own initiative to work with limited guidance to implement innovative solutions
- Object Oriented programming knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and experience with Selenium
- Strong testing experience including experience with mature quality processes.
