Summary: RTL is looking for a Software Tester to join our team! In this role, you will assist in, or plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Adheres to functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Participates in subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.?

Primary Responsibilities / Experience?

  • Must have Systems or Software Engineering experience with a focus on testing software
  • Must have Agile methodology experience
  • Perform planning, test execution, data analysis and discrepancy reporting for operational software and database products to ensure readiness for fielding to internal and external users.
  • Work closely with teammates in an Agile environment.
  • Improve toolsets to streamline V&V functions.
  • Champion digital transformation and automation efforts in support of program and corporate strategic initiatives

Qualifications:?

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years' experience or bachelors with 5+ years' experience or equivalent
  • Intermediate to advanced abilities with SQL and experience working with RDMS (Oracle preferred) and data warehouses
  • Requires knowledge of web activities, techniques, tools, and GUI design
  • IAT Level II Certification
  • Should have the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and be able to adjust to continuously changing priorities and schedules based on customer needs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills are important
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to, 5 pounds?
  • Must be able to stand and walk, if necessary for prolonged amounts of time?
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Security Clearance: This position requires an Active DoD Secret Clearance to start but must be able to receive a Top Secret clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.?
