A role you will love The Solution Architect is responsible for solution design and architecture delivery - providing architectural direction to teams and implementing architectural strategy in collaboration with other stakeholders.Starting from early engagement, the Solution Architect elaborates design options, encourages innovation, drives technical strategy and ensures that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Provide solution design services in support of prioritised business demand.
  • Work with teams to design high-quality solutions that are innovative, stable and resilient, whilst conforming to architectural and security standards.
  • Work with development functions, business lines, product teams and Technology stakeholders to derive the technology future state and roadmaps.
  • Actively contribute to owning and designing governance, assurance, standards and policy that form part of the architectural governance process with a view to improving design quality.
  • Lead and contribute to the Global Computershare Design Community, providing guidance, facilitating collaboration and clear communication across the organisation.
  • Define high-level transition plans to address the gaps between current and future state in line with IT budgeting and planning processes.
  • Lead on the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Understand the current state environment in terms of technology, risk, end of life and technical debt.
  • Oversee and/or support the research, evaluation and selection of new software technology and architecture standards.

What will you bring to the role?
  • Significant experience within a complex enterprise context and with architectures spanning multiple technologies, including .NET and C#.
  • Expert experience in design and implementation of a diverse range of business applications across multiple channels.
  • Experience in design and implementation of Cloud-based applications and services.
  • Experience in working with technology vendors.
  • Experience with creating application migration strategies, enabling transition away from legacy technologies.
  • Experience with creating and selling a business case for technology investment.
  • Track record of architecting modern platforms using APIs, EAI, ETL and web services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with leading the design and architecture of a large technology project.
