Job Description

The

Special Procedures Program Manager - RNwill perform the duties necessary to coordinate the care of the patients who undergo special procedures such as a colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), or Stress Testing as part of the Special Procedures Program at Salud Family Health Centers, administers the program, assists in the day to day operations as needed and supervise the program staff. The Special Procedures Program Manager approaches his/her tasks in a team-based fashion that supports patients and their families in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change.

Supervision Received:

Works under the clinical supervision of the Site Proceduralist and the administrative supervision of the Center Operations Director

Supervision Exercised:

Supervises the Special Procedures Team: Moderate Sedation RN, Pre/Post procedure LPN/RN, Procedure Tech, Patient Navigators, and Special Procedures Assistant.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or BSN degree

    Experience:

    • At least one year of experience working as a nurse in a primary care setting, or endoscopy suite, or hospital setting is required
    • At least one year of experience leading and supervising other staff members is preferred
    • Experience with patient navigation in a cancer screening program is preferred
    • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

    Licensure/Certification:

    • Current unrestricted Colorado Nursing license is required
    • On-going licensure and certification requirements:
    • Maintain Licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse in Colorado, unrestricted license
    • Maintain Salud Credentialed and Privileged, including moderate sedation
    • Maintain current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications
