Staff Database Administrator (DBA) job in Colorado

Pay: $68-82/hr. W2

Type: 6–8-month contract

Location: Hybrid in Louisville, CO We are passionate about helping our customers train the right way and achieve their fitness goals. We create endurance training solutions, including web and mobile apps for iOS and Android, which help athletes commit to clear performance goals, structure their training strategically, and monitor progress as they prepare for their event.

THE ROLE:
  • Work as a MS SQL Database Administrator as a part of a cross-functional development team to design, build, and maintain highly scalable services that are foundational to the platform.
  • Monitor, tune, fragment, optimize, and migrate (as needed) MS SQL databases.
  • Triage and resolve platform and issues, from the MS SQL database perspective.
  • Design, build, migrate to replacement cloud-native database solutions using SQL.
  • Mentor and train other team members on database design and industry best practices.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive system documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in MSSQL database administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with database design, architecture, and optimization.

NICE TO HAVE:
  • Prior experience running MSSQL on AWS.
  • Prior experience replacing MSSQL with alternative, cloud-native solutions. Expectations
