Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the construction/contractor industry, located in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting activities, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and process improvement. This role will also involve overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes and developing internal controls to ensure compliance.Responsibilities: Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support audit processes Identify and implement process improvements in accounting operations, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Demonstrable expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Ability to effectively perform Bank Reconciliations Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management Experience in preparing and managing Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in Month End Close processes Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software Relevant industry experience in Construction/Contractor sector Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines CPA certification is an added advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
