Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will be essential in maintaining financial records, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate customer credit records. The industry we operate in is utility, energy, and midstream organizations.Responsibilities: Conduct vendor reconciliations to ensure accurate records Handle the backlog and duplication of AP invoices efficiently Perform month-end close procedures, including variance analysis, reconciliations, and budget analysis Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to perform duties Correct any duplicate payments to maintain financial accuracy Process customer credit applications efficiently to ensure accurate job costing Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Manage a high volume of emails related to AP invoices Utilize Deltek software for various accounting tasks Ensure the timely closing of accounts for the months of August and September. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Strong understanding of Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience with Bank Reconciliations Mastery of General Ledger management Familiarity with Journal Entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Knowledge of NetSuite software Proficiency in Oracle software Experience with SAP software Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations Previous experience in a senior accountant role would be advantageous.
