- Facilitate the capturing and prioritization of project requirements
- Lead, plan, schedule, track, and manage project deliverables, goals, and milestones; adjust project plans and/or resources to meet changing needs and requirements
- Assess risks and create strategies for risk mitigation and project contingency planning
- Design and maintain technical and project documentation
- Identify and resolve project issues; ensure appropriate communication to project stakeholders
- Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate
- Develop and execute stakeholder management plan
- Manage project scope and the change control process as appropriate
- Develop project plans and team assignments
- Direct and monitor daily work of teams including progress toward goals
- Identify and secure resources as needed
- Provide daily direction and oversight over project engineering teams
- Develops and manages project budgets, analyzes variances, and resolves invoice issues
- Analyze Organizational Change Management (OCM) hurdles and devises/executes plans to overcome resistance and foster adoption of project deliverables
- Deliver/coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed
- Monitor, review, and/or appropriately escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues
- Develop and execute procurement management plan in association with Procurement and the vendor management plan
- Implement project and quality assurance reviews in accordance with IT guidelines to ensure profitable and successful execution
- Ensure project plans and all project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored
- Deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations
- Participate in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise
- Keep track of lessons learned during the life of the project and facilitates a discussion/review at the end of project as part of closing the project out
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
- Hold/attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
- Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
- Bachelor's degree in related area required or a combination of education and progressively responsible work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis
- Minimum of seven (7) years' IT experience required including:
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience managing IT projects
- Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions required
- Demonstrated experience in resource management and change management techniques required
- Needs to be a collaborative team member
- Excels at creating synergies and building relationships across multiple teams
- Ability to lead and create a collaborative environment as it pertains to the larger project with integrated teams
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Project required; intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook required
- Project Management Professional certification or completion of another recognized project management certification preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
