We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software and at least 7 years of related experience. Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages: Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, C, C#, Python and experience with at least one other listed language
  • Demonstrated team player - team success is personal success
  • Ability to think critically through an architecture and document the design with verbose diagrams
  • Experience with building applications that rely on open industry standards in the DoD and commercial sectors
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team
  • Demonstrated ability to work the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, unit testing, test frameworks and reference architectures

Preferred:
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience with building applications that use a service mesh microservice architecture using cloud providers such as AWS or Azure
  • Framework experience such as: React, Redux, Spring, Cesium/Resium, Jest, JUnit
  • Experience building large system of system infrastructures and applications that interface directly with hardware
  • Experience with Open DoD standards such as: OMS/OSA/UCI, FACE, HOST, SOSA, MOSA, VICTORY
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools such as: Docker, containerD, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Ansible, SonarQube, Fortify
  • Experience with build tools and processes such as Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI, webpack, NPM, Babel
  • Experience developing in a Red Hat based Linux environment
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with standards such as: Link-16, MADL, MIL-STD 1553, MIL-STD 1760, STANAG 4676, ARINC 429, ADS-B, AIS, NITF, JPEG2000, MISB 601, h.264/265

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $117,040.88 - $160,931.20

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
