- Gather requirements and translate those into solutions for customers/prospects.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create a winning strategy.
- Establish working relationships with technical staff of all our Partners and Providers.
- Use vendor configuration tools to create enterprise-level solutions for customers/prospects.
- Create diagrams and complex drawings/rack elevations utilizing your design skills with software such as Visio.
- Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs).
- Conduct customer presentations on proposed solutions and new technology.
- Identify new prospective customers within the assigned geographic regions.
- Work with staff to ensure Cyber Security compliance and certifications.
- Establish and maintain specific Vendor/OEM training certifications.
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Systems Architecture and Engineering or technical role in projects and programs for Government or Industry customers.
- Strong level of experience with MS Office (Word, Visio, and Excel).
- Experience or familiarity with USG Procurement methodology.
- Experience presenting features and benefits of comparable products, demonstrating solid presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with IT Data Center infrastructure storage, backup, archiving, and business continuance.
- Appropriate security clearance(s) or be qualified to acquire.
- Fortinet NSE 4 Certification or ability to obtain after hire
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proficient and able to apply knowledge/experience in most of the following areas: Unix, Windows Server, familiarity with commercial cloud solutions, knowledge of virtualization software (VMWare ESX, CentOS KVM), HA configurations, TCP/IP Networking, network switches/routers and cyber security.
- Intense knowledge of IT industry is highly desirable.
