Title: Sr. Test EngineerLocation: Fort CollinsDuration: Permanent / FTESalary: $85K - $110K Visa support available via visa transfer Our client is looking for an experienced Test Development Engineer. The Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements cost-effective solutions for manufacturing tests for several high frequency, high voltage circuits and systems that ensure high quality standards. The position performs a variety of technical, multi-disciplined tasks early in the Product Development Process to provide timely, flexible, universal tools and processes. The Test Engineer makes knowledgeable, data-driven decisions and employs innovative technologies with optimal control and maximum speed and flexibility.Our client truly values their diverse culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and open communication to create a relaxed and positive atmosphere.Responsibilities:
- Ensure testability and serviceability of new product designs, providing feedback to design teams addressing opportunities for defects in manufacturing and field use
- Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products and for product design changes throughout the product's lifecycle
- Accurately estimate project costs and schedules associated with implementing test solutions.
- Owns test requirements from the vendor, to shipment, to the customer
- Verify products meet their functional requirements - including design verification and manufacturing screens
- Analyze capabilities and ensure control of critical parameters of products and test equipment
- Regularly working in lab, office and manufacturing facilities with power output up to 60 kW. Travel to international manufacturing and/or development locations may be required throughout the product's lifecycle.
- Experience in power supply testing or design
- Object Oriented Programming Skills
- 6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology
- Programming experience in NI Labview and TestStand, C, SQL, and/or Python
- Minimum of 5 years of product test development experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test environment
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to influence design team decisions
- Demonstrated experience solving complex technical problems with minimal assistance
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Expertise in programming automation and data collection
- Source Code control experience
- Experience with a variety of General-Purpose Test Equipment use and automation. Including: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, DAQs, and Switches
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant engineering discipline
