Go West IT is seeking a talented and solution-focused Managing Engineer to facilitate the success of their team members and ensure that our customers continue to receive the highest quality of service possible as the company expands.
The Managing Engineer will manage and grow a team of 6-9 IT Engineers, ensure that their customers are completely satisfied with the services provided, as well as consult, architect, and implement technical solutions on challenging projects. The goal is to drive service success that guarantees customer satisfaction, maximizes both client and employee retention, and increases profitability. Go West IT is a fast-growing Managed Services Provider delivering comprehensive support solutions to businesses with 10 – 200 users throughout the Colorado Front Range. We do this by listening to our clients, helping them to define their IT needs, then designing and implementing solutions to meet their objectives. - Facilitate collaboration both between your team members and the other departments
- In-office participation for first 90 days, 3 days in-office weekly preferred long term at the Director’s discretion
- Lead a team of Go West IT’s top tier Engineers daily
- Serve as the first escalation point for your team members
- Set prioritization and assist direct reports with management of customer expectations
- Facilitate development of team member skills through training, mentoring, and shadowing
- Develop an effective daily ticket review and feedback process with team members to ensure timely labor entry and billing accuracy
- Set realistic performance expectations of team members
- Provide a high level of operational and managerial support
- Communicate technical fixes or new technical publications to team
- Balance project and service request workload for team members
- Serve as a backup for othertechnical managers
- Design strategies and ensure that all clients' needs have been tackled successfully
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technical Services
- 2 or 4-year degree or equivalent experience in information systems or similar field, and/or applicable industry certifications
- Minimum of 5 years in a Network Engineer or Systems Engineer IT role
- Minimum of 3 years in a managerial, supervisor, or leadership role
- Experience with M365, Azure, Fortigate, Advanced Networking, and VOIP Solutions a plus (but not required)
