Job Information:

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team and drive business engagement and product delivery across multiple development teams in the Core Technologies organization. The position entails working with multiple agile development teams, managers, business stakeholders and other IT teams to identify opportunities, product features and plan delivery roadmaps. This role will also entail communication with executives and external Dish Partners.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Writing user stories and features (acceptance criteria)
  • Perform acceptance testing for user stories and features
  • Collaborate with product analysts/developers/QA during product development through implementation
  • Facilitate iteration planning sessions, daily team stand-ups, grooming sessions, and retros
  • Track and report on team work completed, capacity, backlog, velocity, etc.
  • Forecast product/feature delivery timelines
  • Use metrics and feedback to improve team and organization processes, best practices, performance, and delivery
  • Assist with deployments and production support issues
  • Planning delivery roadmaps, minimum viable product (MVP) and milestones

Skills, Experience & Requirements:
  • Experience working on/with an Agile team (XP, SCRUM etc.)
  • Experience working with multiple business stakeholders and planning product delivery
  • Good communication (verbal, written and presentation skills)
  • 2-4 years of Product Owner, Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources and work well in a distributed environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience using Agile processes and methodologies
  • Ability to plan for future work while maintaining the current delivery with rapidly changing priorities
  • Rally / CA Agile Central experience a plus
  • Technical experience in APIs, Java or JavaScript, or other programming languages a plus
  • Technical experience in swagger is a plus.
  • Technical experience in Relational or NoSQL Database Systems (e.g. Oracle, MySql, MongoDB) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of development and delivering cloud native products as a service, virtualized deployments, containerization, DEV/OPS and CI/CD pipelines
