Further information provided during the recruitment process.Position: Associate Category ManagerHow You Will Make A DifferenceAs an Associate Category Manager, you will be assisting the Category Manager with product line management and seasonal direction. You will gather financials and competitor insight seasonally. You will be a partner to all cross-functional teams; understand the North Face consumer and work in a fast-paced environment. You will support the CM with global briefs through gathering financials, regional information and providing competitor insight. This role will attend and participate in product line reviews and study the market with a focused approach on consumer, product trends, and new opportunities.What you will do:You will have the opportunity to actively research and observe the competitive landscape.

As the Associate CM you will gather seasonal financials, competitor insights, line plans, and target wholesales from our global partners.

Rank styles seasonally based on historical and current product performance to identify redundancies in the product assortment.

Your unique and diverse experiences and background enable you to provide differing perspectives to fuel our global growth.

This role will construct global line architectures based on seasonal analysis and regional briefs.

You will work with design and development teams to create trend-right products while meeting or exceeding margin targets.

You will maintain line plans and ensure accuracy throughout the season.

Create catalog print layouts and style descriptions seasonally.

You will adhere to the all calendar process and prepare for key meetings.

We are committed to building and maintaining a workplace that celebrates the diversity of our associates, allowing them to bring their authentic selves to work every day.Skills for SuccessYears of Related Professional Experience: 1-3 yearsEducational Position Requirements: Associates of Arts or Bachelor’s degree is preferable in Merchandising, Product Development, or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of merchandising/product development experience in the apparel industry and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.What we expect you already know:Strong understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, and Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel. PLM experience a plus.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written, strong cross functional collaboration skills required

Strong presentation skills, proven ability to influence in front of accounts

Strong understanding of on-mountain marketplace, including regional difference and across diverse channels of distribution

Ability to play and integral role within a broader team, connect the department and individual expectations to company vision

Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines

Ability to work with others as part of cross-functional team, build consensus, and achieve results across a variety of distinct groups.

Experience product forecasting, statistical modeling and/or strategic planning

Experience in retail sales analysis and interpretation of data to identify opportunities

Understanding of product development and manufacturing process (a plus)
